Welcome to the link section of the website. I've not included all the links that I've ever collected
as this is stupidly huge and pointless. Rather I've picked out stuff that I use regularly and regard
as good and/or useful webpages. As always this will be changing over time.
Enjoy.
BBC News - I have for sometime considered the BBC to provide news
which is accurate and well presented. I also think they are about a un-biased as any news organisation can
be. Mind you that may just mean I'm incredibly biased!!!
Google News UK - I absolutely love this feature in google. It enables
you to examine a new item from different news organisations.
Wired News - A very good in depth look at all things technological.
Slashdot - Very nice posting site. As the title says ... "News for Nerds. Stuff that Matters."
New Scientist - A very good weekly science magzine and very useful for daily science news.
Scientific American - A good monthly science magazine. The website also gives you daily science news.
go fish - Quite nice blog from Nicole with comments on
everything from Politics through to what the person in the next cubicle is doing. :)
blogdex - the weblog diffusion index - Okay so this isn't
exactly a blog but a blog index. It's quite useful as a guide to what the worlds bloggers are
talking about.
Lawrence Lessig - Very informative blog
concerning the legal ramifications of different aspects of the internet. In particular intellectual
property is heavily discussed.
meish dot org: a digital approximation - Quite a nice if not
strange (at times) blog. Based in London, England (I think).
The B-Zone - Interesting Blog which also features the
fractal software Kaos Rhei.

L-System Explorer - A very nice implementation of
L-Systems. It can generate all the usual L-System patterns as well as your own designs.
Fractint Homepage - The original fractal
generator. Fractint is the program which started fractal art on the PC - Quite a nice program overall. This is definitely recommended for new-comers to fractal art
Ultra Fractal - Advanced Fractal Software - Ever since Frederik Slijkerman created Ultra Fractal in 1997 fractal art has been changed forever. This is pretty much
the definitive fractal generator available.
Fractal eXtreme - Quite nice fractal generator. Includes the
ability to create zooming movies.
Terraform Home Page - Quite a good terrain generation program although it seems to be hiatus with no restarting in sight. :(

ScienceWorld - This set of scientific encyclopedias is perhaps one of the more comprehensive out
there on the web. It does tend to be a bit more technically orientated but this doesn't diminish it in any way. A valuable reference tool.
MegaConverter 2 - Do you hate having to remember how to convert from silly units like inches into
centimeters and back again? I do and this site is pretty much a god send which I come accross obscure units.
WebElements - A very good online periodic table. Contains a huge amount of information about each
individual element including (but not restricted to) electronic configurations, density, crystal structure.
The Physics of Boiling and Egg - Quite an amusing look at the egg boiling process.
How Stuff Works - The place to find out how things work, things like ... erm .. stuff :)
Molecular Expressions - A very good site dedicated to optical microscopy. Includes quite a
comprehensive gallery of photos.
Nobel e-museum - Find out about current and past winners of the nobels.
